Howdy, how’s living in times of climate breakdown?
I’m Nicolá, a Swiss environmental scientist and earth activist – and science says, you’re probably not doing well. That’s okay. 36% of Swiss citizens now show signs of depression. (1) But there is a way out.
Having suffered from burnout and eco-anxiety myself, I went on a journey to find solutions. After many inspiring encounters with pioneers in this field, I experience more meaning, connection and aliveness than ever.
I now believe there is a way to contribute to a more beautiful world and feel much better while doing so. Now, I’m using my abilities as a communicator to share the recipes I found.
What I do
I’m telling stories beyond hope
A passionate communicator, I use photography, graphic design, video and storytelling to give a platform to the ideas, people and places we urgently need in this Great Turning. These stories show how we can find meaning, belonging and happiness, no matter what’s going on in the world.

Agile and from the heart

10 yrs + as a creative campaigner in social movements has taught me how to make a message stick. Numbers alone won’t do it, which is why I love to evoke emotions and to use humor, speaking to real people with real needs. Nonetheless, my background in science compells me to always stick to the facts.
Creating content with movements has given me the ability to work efficiently on a tiny budget. And, importantly, it has taught me that an authentic message doesn’t need a shiny wrapping – if it comes from the heart, your content can be very successful nonetheless.
For my work, I’m drawing on a diverse set of skills I’ve acquired over the years, including:
– photography (action, portraits, nature, etc.)
– videography (30 sec to 15 min short movies, using a Sony Alpha 7 III and a Mavic Air 2)
– graphic design (social media posts, flyers, stickers, etc.)
– social media management (mostly instagram and facebook)
– text (speeches, posts, scientific, etc.)
– public speaking (political events, media, etc.)
